Pam Anderson

Pam and Jim! Woo Hoo!

This one was hilarious! Really back to business when it comes to being funny. I loved it!

P.S. Creed is 82?! ;)

ARE YOU GUYS READY!!!

New season premier is on tonight!! WOO! I can't wait to find out what happened on Jim and Pam's date! What's everyone going to be knitting tonight? I'll be working on my Clapotis :-)

Summer Episodes

Am I the only rewatching all of this last season's episodes through the summer? I just can't wait until fall to watch the office! I know, I'm a big geek...lol!

Great episode!

So what did everyone think of last night's show? I loved how "honest" Pam was and how courageous! Poor thing, Michael just can not treat her with respect. I'm really wondering if Karen ends up getting the NYC job and that's how they get her off the show. It would be relatively easy, and set it up for her coming back as a plot point if needed.

Poor Andy, I wonder if they ever found him?

The Big Tuna Blanket is Done

I finished the Big Tuna blanket! I brought it to work today to send it off and I forgot to take a picture...that is when the ol' camera on the phone comes in handy. Love technology!
I am still a little horrified over the Angela sweater. I had a friend of mine laughing so hard when I told her I had the EXACT same sweater. She just wouldn't stop laughing. So now I am horrified and slightly mad.

Horrified!

Ok, how horrified was I watching the show last night?! Did you notice Angela's cat sweater? I have the exact same one. My secretary gave it to me for Christmas last year...I love my cats...and my secretary...but she doesn't know me.

LOL

I thought I was going to die laughing over jim impersonating Dwight and Dwight's reaction! Too funny!!! Although, like the rest of the sentimental sappy people out there, I am rooting for Jim and Pam to get together! I hope they don't drag that out again over the summer! As for "office appropriate" knitting, i am knitting the Office-to-Casual Cardi from Creative Knitting Magazine. I am using Red Heart Soft yarn in Grape. It is a fabulous plummy color and very soft!

Big Tuna

I loved this week's episode. I'm so happy Drew nee Andy is back!
My group is in charge of the safety meeting this month at work. The subject is work place stress. I suggested to my boss that we just show this episode instead of giving a presentation. For some reason he wasn't having it.

Office Quotes

Ok, so I have been...well...on the internet at work. I was looking at a site of Office Quotes and found this one...

Dwight Schrute: Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, Television, North Korea, South Korea, Marylin Monroe! Ryan started the fire!

It just cracked me up!

WOWOWOW!!

The first 60 seconds of this week's show.... HOLY COW!!

Big Tuna

I was so miffed that last week there were no episodes of the Office!! To make matters worse is that my cable has been going in and out lately. It better be working this Thursday because it is an Office Marathon! WOOO! HOO!

I have been working on my fish afgan for a co-worker who is having a baby (due May 1st). I call it the Big Tuna blanket. I have been knitting at lunch and on the train. The other day I sat by a woman who also knits. We we were leaving she said "I hope I run into you soon. I want to see more fish." She made my day!

Jumping in...

I finally made it here :) Only took a few days of me breaking the internet (or at least my part of it... there was yelling and pleading and my poor printer may never fully recover from the trauma of being without email and/or internet sporadically this past week!)

In any case, I've been a fan of both the British Office and the US Office for ages, and loved the potholder - I even gave some away as gifts to other known Office fans this past holiday season.

I guess I have to do the intro thingy - My name is Dagny (don't ask, Mom was a hippy and had some good drugs when I was born!) I'm a mom of 4 boys in Maine, and co-own a yarn shop. Not as fun as you think, I never get to knit at work... all that paperwork, ouch! But my TV time is perfect for knitting, we all pile on the couches and watch our shows - kids play video games, hubby plays poker, and I can knit, yah!

I knit mostly socks, hats, and washclothes while TV watching - all things done in simple stitches so I don't have to pay attention or look at my knitting all the time. Happy to be here, and hope to have some pictures to share soon :)

Scraps ...

Here's what I was working on on Thursday:

Rebekah has started a project where you can send her any knitted block or whatever for a giant blanket for her friend's husband. I'm loving this project! I've been able to get rid of so much of my scrap yarn and had fun trying out new stitch patterns too!

Poor Pam. And I loved how Jim was asked what would he do if Pam was interested ... even the camera crew is like "get together already"! I also loved Toby's date and how excited he was when she caught the bouquet!

Second Time Around

Since my first project with the boucle form Big Lots was such a disaster, I've decided to knit wash/dish clothes. Here's a picture of the one I started during The Office and finished last night.

About the episode...Poor Pam. It must of been hard for her to sit through her wedding but with different people. I'm surprised that Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration, didn't clock Michael.

New Promo!

Do you guys read Office Tally? Sometimes it drives me nuts (like they wouldn't publicize this here knitalong!) but they have the best tips about future episodes and where the stars are going to be. There are now 3 promos for "Phyllis' Wedding" that you might want to watch - the 3rd one especially!

Tuna Afgan

I just watched Thursday's episode. Hilarious!! Jim cracks me up. I loved that he tried to convince Dwight that it was the real Thomas Jefferson. LOL.

One of the attorneys I work with is having a baby in May. I have been trying to rack my brain on what kind of baby blanket to make. Finally, I saw this.... Fish. I thought I could knit them during lunch hours and on the train. The perfect Office project. In keeping with The Office theme...I thought I would call it the Big Tuna Blanket.

Sooo ...

What did you think? Poor Pam. Not only does she get confronted by Karen about Jim (why?), but then Jim acts like he did her a "favor" by playing a joke on Michael and ordering a non-stripper for the bachelorette party. I loved her comment to Ryan, too. Other that that, I thought the episode wasn't all that great. Oh well, the last two have been amazing so I'll give them a pass for now.

I worked on my latest sweater, and hope to have a picture later.

Dishrags

I've been meaning to knit dishrags with some stray white cotton yarn in the cupboard. No more accidently bleaching the colored ones. Now if I only could get away with knitting at my office....

Just joined! Can't wait until tomorrow!!

I'm done!

I finished my Red Scarf just in time - I mailed it out today Priority Mail and I hope it gets to Virginia on the 31st so they can still use it! I'll probably dig out my Sock -ret Pal socks to work on on Thursday.

Oh, and really bad news! I had about 5-7 old Season Three episodes last night (3 of which were from last Thursday) and my TiVo *deleted them*!!! I'm so upset!

Starting Thursday (or Friday)

I think Phyllis really appreciates three thing in knitting: 1) fun fur, 2) sale yarn, and 3) free patterns. I'm going to combine all three! I picked up this boucle yarn at Big Lots when I first learned to knit. (I don't know if you can see that the price is $0.79.) Starting this Thursday (or Friday if I am forced to TiVo) I'm going to knit the scarf pattern on the band.

Good Luck, everyone.

Very PC knitting!

I've been working (very slowly) on a scarf for the Red Scarf Project. Since I have both years of the Office on DVD now and about 8 on my TiVo, I get to watch while I'm knitting! I am basically trying to get rid of this yarn that will not go away, so I've been making squares and plan to knit them together today or tomorrow so I can send them off to be there by the end of January deadline!

Welcome!

Phyllis is our resident knitter at "The Office", having knit a potholder for her boss, Michael Scott, for the company's Secret Santa during season 2, and being shown knitting in her promo photos. Let's knit along with Phyllis, creating office-friendly items (that is, items you could knit at work, like socks, scarves, fingerless mitts, dishcloths, etc.) while watching "The Office"!
